Launched Qply today — an AI live chat widget for small businesses. Been working on it for a while, finally pushed it live. Would love feedback from this crowd.

What it is: a live chat widget you drop into any website in about a minute. Gemini-powered AI answers your visitors, hands off to a human when it can't. Plans start at $12/month.

Why I built it:

Kept running into the same problem with friends running small Shopify stores and indie SaaS founders — someone hits their site at 11pm, asks about shipping or pricing, gets nothing back, leaves. Owner has no idea it happened.

The existing options felt broken for small teams. Intercom and Drift start at $74+/month and are built for enterprise, not us. Tidio and tawk are cheap but the AI stuff either feels bolted on or just doesn't work. Hiring support is not realistic for most indie businesses.

AI is actually good enough now. Gemini can answer most pre-sales questions better than an undertrained human agent. So I built the tool that should have existed.

Where I'm at right now:

Live at qply.io. Just started Meta ads to push some early traffic — learning a lot, happy to share what's working and what's not. Working on a Product Hunt launch next. Nothing fancy on the user count, early days.

What I'm not sure about yet:

Is $12 starting price too low? Too high? Honestly unsure. Should I push harder on Shopify-specific pages first, or stay platform-agnostic? Biggest worry: people not trusting AI with customer questions.

I'm already running Qply on my own sites — qply.io itself, and apptesterhub.com (my other project). Nothing beats using what you build: every annoying bug, missing feature, or clunky UX shows up when you're a user yourself. Most of Qply's current features come from problems I hit while using it.

Would love to hear from anyone who's built or run a small biz — what chat tool do you currently use, and what's the one thing you wish it did differently?
