After many delays brought on by Software Development contracts, I completed the product. I was torn between abandoning my primary income source of working on short term software development contracts and focusing on a product that can bring a steady flow of income in the form of support fees or even SaaS. I finally pushed myself to abandon a contract and instead focused on completing this project. Fortunately, my savings reserve is deep and with a lower cost of living here in Tema, Ghana, I have sufficient funds/income sources to last 5 years. This is what I want to do, and no amount of contract money should distract me.

After working on a similar concept on contract for a Fintech startup, I decided to rewrite the code from scratch to create a product that I can resell to startups and to existing companies looking to branch into Fintech, but lacking the know-how required to build a product that holds customer balances + the necessary accounting ledger entries to properly track assets, liabilities, expenses, income etc
