MVP done ✅ It's time to sell 💰

After a month of development, our MVP is finally done 🎉

We decided to focus on data mining and provide marketing insights to our clients.

Our first product, QApop, helps you discover top questions with organic traffic on Quora.

Probably, many of you haven't heard of Quora yet, but it's a hidden gem 😉

I'm really proud of what we have done so far:

  • we were able to validate the idea and sell a few reports already
  • our clients have incredible results (some of them got hundreds of visitors monthly)
  • we combine results from Quora with Ahrefs SEO data to tell you what organic traffic question has and what's the ranking of this question on Google for a specific keyword

I worked on many projects past few years, but this is the one I believe in the most.

P.S. Let me know if you are interested in getting a Quora report for your project/idea. We haven't implemented any coupons yet, but I would give a discount for the first report to this awesome community.

    Looks like a great product.

However, I would suggest that you scrape the data directly from the Quora Ads Manager alongside Ahrefs data.

Ahrefs data only shows you the traffic data that a question is receiving from search engines (especially, Google.)

But, Quora has its own algorithm and shows it's users the questions following that algorithm. Using Quora Ads manager, you can scrape data regarding how many weekly views any specific question receives on Quora apart from Google.

Doing this will help your users target those questions that receive traffic to any question directly from Quora and not just from a keyword ranking on the search engine.

P.S. I've used these strategies in the past to help my client nearly $2,000/mo to its MRR.

Hi @Katiyar. Thanks a lot for the idea. It will be easy to include Quora Ads Manager data in the product.
How reliable are the stats from Quora Ads Manager? From my experience Quora views counts are not rely reliable.

      1. 3

They're reliable. At least for finding how much traffic a question is receiving from the Quora algorithm itself.

Later, you can merge this data with the search data for each question and you will have a more robust data for each question and it's potential.

Thanks, @Katiyar :) it's excellent advice we are looking forward to implementing.

Do share the results with us. I would love to know how it goes.

Or, you can just update a milestone on your product page.

            1. 2

              Of course, we will :)

I thought Quora really cracked down on backlinks and people promoting their product? How do we use this product? Is it for content marketers? is it for SEO research?

    1. 3

      Good question @viperfx.
Quora is making harder to include links in your answers, as you now have a chance to get your answer "collapsed".
However there are several ways to avoid it:

      • To not copy past the same answer copy everywhere.
      • Include several links going toward different domain in your answers (you can include link to your medium and comparison website like g2).
      • Share a link to some of your Quora answer which was not collapsed (Quora actually boost your answer when then include some Quora internal link).
      • Run some short PPC campaign promoting your collapsed answers (this will make them uncollapsed).

I plan on writing some blog article about this topic as it is quite important.

There are 3 use cases of Question Miner for marketers:

      • prioritise which questions to answer in order to get more referral traffic.
      • know which questions to target for PPC campaigns
      • get content creation idea, by knowing what people ask

This is great Ivan! Congrats on the completed MVP, it looks really nice.

What are your plans to get new customers? I feel like content marketing will work really well (as well as case studies from your customers).

      Thank you, Nico.

I agree content marketing is essential. We are preparing a course where we educate people on how to get maximum from Quora.

We want to offer these reports to marketing agencies as well. They are the ones who know what to do with the data and can upsell other services like copywriting to their clients.

We are reaching marketing managers in SaaS companies, too. They are interested in finding new marketing channels all the time ;)

The course is an incredible idea. Ahrefs has done some SEO and blogging customers to attract customers and I think they work really well for them.

The marketing agency idea is interesting as well. You could try to contact some productized Quora marketing services as well, which I know there're some.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice. Yes, I have the Ahrefs SEO course in mind too. I accomplished it and it was great. I would like to do the same format for our project now.

Cool idea Ivan. I can see how there could be a lot of valuable learning that would come out of the analysis Questions Miner provides. Heads up, on your landing page the founder avatars are squashed on mobile.

Thank you, appreciate your comment! I found the issues on Safari and fix it, thanks for pointing that out ;)

Header navigation links are not working on Chrome too

          got it, thank you 🙏
