Quid Sentio
Quid Sentio is a shareable personal journal
Quid Sentio now has options for audio, image, and custom tags in your journal entries!
You can now write, record your voice, add an image, and set custom tags for each entry!
I also shipped a tool to import your Facebook "Status Update" posts to Quid Sentio as journal entries. For those who want to quit Facebook but are still attached to their content there.
Here is a blog post explaining the feature: https://blog.quidsentio.com/posts/export-your-facebook-status-posts-to-a-searchable-personal-journal/
This is an exciting update for Quid Sentio! Now users can add Voice journal entries -- for those days when you are too lazy to write about your day.
Also, you and your friends can now comment on each other entries, bringing Quid Sentio closer to our vision of a "quiet social network."
Here is a glimpse of our vision of what a "quiet social network" means in bullet points:
- No ads
- No strangers, nor acquaintances
- No news
- No memes
- No tracking (you can inspect our site, there is no 3rd-party client-side tracking)
- No virality (no sharing outside of your won confirmed friends)
- No "likes"
For a calmer and more private web.

A basic social network-y feature that will help with both user retention and growth is email notifications.
Now, when a user adds a friend, they have the option to also send an email notifying their friend that they were added and inviting them to Quid Sentio.
Also, a user now can set a Daily Reminder email that will be sent every day on their preferred hour to remind them to come back to Quid Sentio.

I improved a lot the design, look and feel of Quid Sentio. The main thing I added is feature to add friends and share your personal journal entries with them.
It's the first step to becoming a real social network. Next in line as comments (so allowing for conversations to happen) and end-to-end encryption.

I got some feedback with my first version as a mood tracker and implemented it (e.g., add the option to register activities). Still, I was thinking about how to compete with existing products on the space (mainly Daylio). It was hard to come up both with a unique proposition and features that would justify a premium version.
Then I decided to do something I had in my mind for some time as something I wished to see in the world: a "quiet social network".
I decided to reposition Quid Sentio as a social network with no news, no ads, no likes, no memes, and no strangers.
The new landing page now has a deeper explanation of my vision. I hope in a few months I have the social network MVP launched.

It is a "protoMVP" now. Something usable so I can approach potential users and collect feedback.
Along with reading a lot of reviews of competitors, I already learned that a good unique, desired feature is voice recording. let's see how hard it is to build it

I wanted a quieter and saner space without the frenetic rhythm of news and updates of all other social networks. A digital space to cultivate meaningful conversations and relationships.
