Landing page is live!

I just published my website!! Woot woot! My main goal right now is to collect emails for my crowdfunding campaign. I am using Shopify for the site. It took sometime to get it done due to photos and graphics, but I'm happy with how it turned out so far. It's still a work in progress, but I wanted to publish it quick! Please take a look and let me know what you think :)

was it a custom theme on shopify ?, and how long did it take you to get the photos and website design (just curious)

It looks clean , great job !

Thank you! Oh I should add, I used a theme to get this site done, and customized a few of parts on the homepage, and did an overhaul for the brand colors, etc. Originally I first started building my own theme from scratch, but it was taking too much time.

Photos took about a week (photo shoot was a few days) and website took a month or more (maybe a few months? it's all a blur lol), I've been managing a lot in-between. Plus I did more pages that aren't visible right now, so it's ready to go live.

I got the opposite. I think it could do with hero text such as "The World's Most Comfortable Blanket"

Hey thanks for the feedback, where would you put that title? Should I switch it out for "Canada's only handmade blanket"?

          1. 1

I would keep "Canada's only handmade blanket" assuming that is correct, it is far easier to prove than "the worlds most...." that sound more hyperbolic and salesly. For what you're creating and your target audience I think you've nailed it

I agree :) Thanks for the feedback! Plus i've done research and confirm "Canada's only handmade weighted blanket"

I’ll be honest, I’m jealous of this landing page. It is beautiful, compelling, and very clear what your product is.

Thank you so much Brian, I appreciate the feedback from a guy with your experience! I tried to keep the content straight the point, and I've gotten more signups than I expected :)

Congrats. How is it different than other weighted blankets?

    1. 2

Thank you and thanks for asking! Our blankets are weighted by the material itself, without the use of those noisy pellets, which makes our blankets easier to machine wash and dry compared to the traditional ones. It's also knitted in a braided pattern making it both breathable, and a beautifully designed blanket. It's also 100% handmade, so it can't be mass produced. And if you're in Canada, you can't find anything like it.

I seen a lot of landing pages and I've got to say that I think you've nailed it!
The pictures are beautiful, the copy is great, the colour scheme. Your story. Love it.
Are you going to be hitting up traffic in Insta and Facebook? you should leverage those photos.
Only suggestion that came to mind (because I love numbers) is when you talk about the weight. It is hard to believe that something with just material can be the same weight as something with fillers. So I would put in something like.
"Mass produced weighted blankets with a filler weigh in at 10-40grams per cm^2, our handmade blankets, using the natural weight of the material only, come in at 30g per cm^2" - or whatever the numbers are.

Thank you so much Iain! I'm so grateful for all the feedback the indie-hacker community has given!

Great point, I totally agree. I think numbers would be effective too. Oh soo much fabric, 250 + meters of it, and this makes the weight more evenly distributed compared to fillers. I'll make that change to the site shortly :)
