Over the past few months I've been building Quotiflo, a proposal, approval, and invoicing platform.
Originally, I thought the biggest problem contractors faced was creating quotes.
After speaking with estimators, quantity surveyors, consultants, freelancers, and contractors, I realized something different:
Creating the estimate isn't always the hardest part.
The real frustration often starts after the estimate is finished.
Many professionals told me they spend hours:
• Formatting proposals in Word
• Copying estimates into PDFs
• Reusing the same sections repeatedly
• Chasing clients for approvals
• Creating invoices manually after approval
That's what led me to build Quotiflo.
The goal is simple:
Turn estimates into professional proposals, get approvals online, and generate invoices from one workflow.
The platform is live, but I'm still learning from users and improving it every week.

Interesting shift.
The thing I’d be careful with is that “contractors” can hide very different frustrations under the same label.
Formatting proposals, chasing approvals, and generating invoices may sit in the same workflow, but they are not always painful enough at the same moment for the same buyer.
The risk is not building the wrong feature. It is letting too many workflow pains compete to become the reason someone switches.
Feels like the harder decision sits earlier than the product itself.
