Side project for fun, not for profit
Scratched my own itch with this one (racepace.cc) and have been scratching my head ever since: should I work on growing and monetizing this?
Since the inceptions it's always been a tool created by a runner for fellow runners. Shared through word-of-mouth face-to-face, growing at a snail pace and helping an odd dozen of people every day.
Race Pace was created for fun, was fun to create, and brings me joy every time Cloudflare sends me the monthly traffic numbers. It paid me back with this much more than it's worth as a revenue stream for me.

Nice work!
I agree, not everything has to be for profit and fully fledged business! I just did a similar thing where I create something to fit my needs, but still released it because it might work for someone else too.
Love the simplicity and design of racepace. Happy running!
This is also a good way to experiment freely with fresh ideas (like auto-linking notes by words!). Thanks for releasing it and sharing with the community.
My pleasure!
