Rankship

An MCP that turns AI assistants into your SEO agent.

March 7, 2026 I built an MCP server that does international SEO for solo founders - no expertise needed -.

I kept hitting the same wall with my SaaS. I knew I should do international SEO. But with 195 countries in the world, where do you even start? Japan? Mexico? Germany? I had no idea, and I couldn't afford to guess wrong.

I tried to build something for myself alone and I made it work well: I analyze a country, I get insights and if it worth or not to attack keywords there. So I worked on the language and culture of the posts to get the most accurate version (I review all posts, just in case and I recommend anyone doing the same: AI is still AI).

So I built Rankship.

It's an MCP server that connects to Claude, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf or any MCP-compatible AI tool.

You tell your AI assistant: "analyze https://mywebsite.com and find my best markets." It does the rest. Under the hood it's hitting DataForSEO for real keyword data across 172 countries, running Claude to analyze cultural fit and competition, and coming back with actual answers: "Here are your 47 quick-win keywords for UK. Here's the content to rank for them."

--- The problem I was trying to solve:
SEO tools like Semrush are built for experts. They give you data but expect you to know what to do with it. I'm a builder, not an SEO consultant. I wanted a tool that just tells me where to compete.

--- What it does today:
- Analyzes your product URL and extracts market context
- Recommends your top markets with real search volume + competition data
- Researches 50 keywords per market in the target language
- Generates SEO articles ready to publish - Works inside your AI coding environment via MCP

--- Honest numbers so far:
- Launched the MCP on npm 1 week ago
- Working on first paying users
- The web dashboard is live at rankship.net

--- What I learned building this:
The hardest part wasn't the tech, it was positioning. My first thought was "AI content generator." Wrong. Nobody wants another content generator. What people actually want is someone to tell them WHERE to compete before they waste money and time. The content is just the execution layer, you ca do that with any AI you use.

Happy to answer questions about the MCP architecture, the DataForSEO integration, or the positioning decisions. And if you're a solo founder who's been putting off international SEO, try it. You can use the code INDIEHACKERS26 for some free analysis.
I recorded a small working session with Claude: https://www.loom.com/share/56e1c8e29258437c8ad0716f2884b00c

Thanks all!

Daniel.

I built Rankship because I kept asking the same question with my SaaS: "Should I go after Mexico or Germany first?" There was no tool that *told me* where to compete. Semrush needs you to be a SEO expert to interpret it
