Rapids Finance
Crypto subscriptions for SaaS
Hey Indie Hackers!
Just wanted to share an exciting update from the last two weeks. Rapids Finance, a platform for decentralized subscription services in the crypto world, has moved from concept to MVP!
I utilized Next.js for the front-end, loved the built-in routing and server-side rendering capabilities. The back-end is currently on AWS but, staying true to our mission of decentralization, the plan is to migrate it onto a decentralized network soon.
The initial days were spent conceptualizing, sketching the idea, and deciding on the tech stack. Then, I swiftly moved into action. Solidity was my choice for developing smart contracts, essential for our interaction with Ethereum's blockchain.
Following this, it was time for front-end development using Next.js, where I translated the idea into a visually pleasing and user-friendly interface.
While AWS served as a quick solution for setting up the backend, the goal is to make everything as decentralized as possible.
After some intense days of development, I moved into testing, debugging, and UI refinement. By the end of the 14th day, a functional MVP of Rapids Finance was ready!
The journey has been demanding but extremely fulfilling. There's more to come as I continue to iterate and improve! Keep an eye out for further updates. Thanks for being a part of this journey!
About
Rapids Finance was born out of the need for crypto-based subscription payments. It aims to integrate the security of blockchain with recurring payment convenience, so SaaS companies feel safe accepting crypto payments.

Shipping an MVP quickly is impressive, but one of the biggest challenges is designing enough architectural flexibility to support future growth without overengineering too early. Finding that balance is often what separates a successful MVP from a short-lived prototype.
