RateCraft
The pricing calculator built for freelancers and consultants
I've spent years as a pricing consultant watching skilled independents undercharge because they were confused about where to start.
Most come up with a number but have trouble defending it. They ask around, land somewhere in the middle, and hope it holds in the client conversation.
The bigger problem is that most never make it past hourly rates. Not because value-based pricing is out of reach but because no one ever showed them how the models connect.
RateCraft starts with education. A pricing journey tab walks through hourly, project, and value-based pricing. Then three calculators help them do the math and scenario-plan. Pop-up info buttons answer questions about variables. Insight boxes highlight implications of their pricing plans and point out better options.
Like freelancers, it's laptop-based. An HTML file you download ($7 launch price) and run on your browser of choice.
This is my first product of this type. I'm curious what you wish you'd known earlier about pricing your own work. And any thoughts you may have on the launch. Thanks.
About
For years I've watched talented freelancers and consultants undercharge from a lack of knowledge about how to communicate their value. I built RateCraft to change that.
