Read This Twice
Book recommendations from people we look up to
Woke up this morning to a Product Hunt tweet about a Read This Twice nomination to be the side project of the year. This is super exciting. The voting has started yesterday and will go on until the 28th. You can support / vote for the product at the link below.
Yup, the launch went better than expected.
At the time of writing this Read This Twice has 811 upvotes on Product Hunt. I'll be writing a longer post a bit later on the steps it took to get there.

We're live and currently #1 on Product Hunt. This is my first Product Hunt launch, and I'm shaking a bit haha. I'll make a more detailed write-up later. For now I'd highly appreciate your support/feedback/comments on the product hunt page. Thank you so much!

There are two hard things in this industry: naming things and finding an available domain name.
I spent almost a week on this. My other option was suggestaread.com which sounds more pragmatic but also way less fun. I'm liking "Read This Twice: Books worth reading twice."

It all started with me looking for book recommendations from Peter Thiel after rereading his "Zero To One". I think he's an interesting character and I wanted to learn more about his mindset and the things he has been influenced by.
A quick "Peter Thiel book recommendations" google search brought a bunch of websites with a bunch of books that he's supposedly recommending. I was a bit lost.. how do I know he actually did recommend these books? No links to sources, shady looking websites / articles.
Eventually I've found an article that pointed to his AMA on reddit where her recommended some books.
This is when it came to me. I'm gonna build a website with lists of verified recommendations from the people that me and my peers look up to.

There's a bunch of websites listing 100s of books recommended by the people I'm interested in, but very few of them are transparent about their sources and most of the time the data is all over the place.
