Reading Buggies
A monthly book-swap for children's books
Today I fixed a bug I created on my checkout page and then sent out invites to all my early access subscribers.
I’m excited anyone thought the idea was even worth giving me an email address.
Next step is seeing if anyone will actually pay, and if so we’ll do our first month’s shipment!
For the Organic Sign up:
I did nothing! I guess the SEO plugins from my Gatsby site are working!
The actual app has been taking a bit longer than I'd hoped. I've used Netlify Identity for user management and I've been working on the Netlify functions to Stripe if a user has paid on each sign in; so I can show different pages. Hopefully I'll get that done in the next week or so.
I've told my first few waitlist signups that I want them to be able to get into the app toward the end of the month. And start beta testing next month!

Yesterday I "finished" the landing page and got Netlify forms hooked up so I can accept people on my waitlist.
Today I saw this tweet https://twitter.com/daviswbaer/status/1163438754687803392?s=12 and decided what the heck I'll respond.
I got a few replies with some feedback (all pretty positive), and then checked the forms that night and someone actually signed up! I was shocked, and now a bit terrified someone might actually want to pay me for this idea.
Now I guess if I'm gonna go for it, I should start posting on fb groups and pinterest to try to get more sign ups.

It's my first real foray into indie-hacking, and I wanted something with: 1) A Clear Target Audience - Mom's 2) A Scaleable Subscription Model 3) Low-price point (lower pressure)
