ReadsCo
ReadsCo is a place for collaborative book discussions.
I always wanted to have a Telegram bot but due to lack of groundwork, I could set it up.
Now after releasing so many interesting features on ReadsCo I've found the best possible use case for ReadsCoBot.
The idea is to log the reading time. It's easy and intuitive. I hope this will encourage more people for reading too.
Anyone can get started by joining ReadsCo Telegram Group
Recently I learned about the Pomodoro technique, I tried it for reading a book and it actually works.
So thought that It would be interesting to introduce this timer in ReadsCo as well.
This app encourages you to spare 25 minutes every day and log your read time.

I was spending a lot of time daily on publishing some highlights from ReadsCo to Twitter.
Today, I automated this process. Now every hour a tweet will be published on my Twitter wall and I'll get more time for engaging with Tweeps.
I suspect this will help in growing my account. If that works, I'll roll out this feature with the freemium model.

Awesome feeling, found a way to create a free virtual shop.
Of course, you need a domain and hosting server but other than that it's all about following three Ds.
- Design
- Display
- Distribution
Designed on X, Displayed on Y, and Distributed on Z

Today, feeling awesome after contributing to our open-source community.
This is an open-source clone of ReadsCo web-based application. Built using Next.js, TailwindCSS, Hasura (PostgreSQL). ReadsCo is a place for collaborative book discussions. We're a community of IndieHackers who see reading as an active, participatory dialogue.

For the last 3 days, I was struggling to publish the beta version on app connect. Every time I tried publishing xCode gave me hard time stating the distribution key is not found. It drove me crazy and to fix it I had to generate the new certificate and then clean and restart the process.
Some things really test your patience. I tried updating the OS, Xcode and eventually, it made my MacBook slow. I own "MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)" which too old started lagging in between the process.
I'm so exhausted!! I almost gave up on building an iOS on react native.
Anyway, after so much of a hassle finally, things started to come together. And the beta is available for the public.
If you are an IndieHacker who sees reading as an active, participatory dialogue, do give it a try.
iOS beta is available here: https://reads.co/download

For SEO every site needs a sitemap which is required to be submitted in google console.
Next.js provides an awesome configuration to build a dynamic site map. I followed a post on Leerob you can follow the following link to find the sitemap.

Thanks for sharing about Next.js and its configuration for building a dynamic sitemap! I agree that having a sitemap is important for SEO and submitting it to Google Console can be beneficial for improving search engine visibility. I'll definitely check out the post on Leerob that you mentioned to learn more about Xml. It's great to know that Next.js provides this feature to make sitemap creation easier for website owners.
Now users will be able to discover popular clubs. The definition of popular to me is the clubs which have the most highlights.
So do visit to the following link to find out which clubs have most of the highlights.
BTW the most popular is "The Art of War" and you will be surprised to know that the writer himself "Steven Pressfield" follows ReadsCo Instagram account.
This happened last year when the idea was in a very early stage and I was sharing highlights & my opinion on Instagram.
Don't believe me? You can check the follower list. I got my validation. Nothing is going to stop ReadsCo now.

Since the web app is pretty new I've not added a feature to unsubscribe from the daily mailer. Instead, I've asked people to reply back to the same email address if they wish to unsubscribe. 2 users yesterday politely replied back that "Please unsubscribe" I like the fact that people on my platform are humble.
On top of this one user explicitly asked for new functionality of importing highlights from kindle as he doesn't want to start everything from scratch. I'll reply back to him today. This is a new path to explore now.

Today I created my first cron job to send out daily mailers. Idea is to keep users engaged with the content people putting in Reads.Co
I used crontab.guru to find out the exact time at which I want to trigger the mailer.
There were a few hiccups when in execution but It made me happy to see that 32 mails were sent in total.
I chose to send this out at midnight so that people will see ReadsCo mailer first thing in the morning.
I hope it will increase more engagement.

Always felt the need to keep all my crucial learnings in one place. It's easy to save highlights in kindle but there was no good way of capturing notes from physical books. Solution is, ReadsCo
