ReanRoom
Productivity, Creator CRM, SaaS
I've been heads-down since April on [Reanroom](https://reanroom.com) a business OS for solo creators. Sponsorship pipeline, deliverables, contracts and usage rights, invoices, affiliate links. The boring back-office of being a content creator.
144 commits, one full rename (it was CreatorOS until May, which was both generic and already taken), and as of last week, live billing.
Here's the thing I only really understood last week, while I was building my launch list:
Almost every place I know how to launch is full of founders. Almost none of my customers are founders.
Product Hunt, Show HN, r/SideProject, here — I know these rooms. I've been lurking in them for years. They're where I'm comfortable. But my buyer is a creator with 5K–50K followers who has three brand deals in her DMs, an invoice she forgot to send in March, and a Notes app doing the job of a CRM. She has never heard of Product Hunt. She is not going to upvote me.
So I built a launch plan, looked at it honestly, and realised about 80% of it was optimised for making me feel like I launched.
Two decisions I made that I'd like to be argued with on
1. I cut AI from v1.
Every competitor in the creator-tools space is shipping an AI content generator. I have one specced. I moved it to phase 3 and shipped invoicing and link-health checks instead.
The reasoning: nobody has ever churned because their caption generator was mediocre. People absolutely churn — and lose actual money — when a $2,000 invoice goes unsent for six weeks, or an affiliate link 404s for a month and nobody notices. So I built the thing that touches money, and left the thing that touches vibes for later.
The risk I'm carrying: "AI-powered" is what gets you into directories, press and feeds in 2026. I may have traded distribution for substance. Ask me in six months.
2. I priced at $14.99, not $49.
Free / $14.99 / $34.99. The usual advice is charge more, and B2B SaaS logic says a tool that recovers one missed $2k invoice should cost way more than fifteen bucks.
But creators don't buy like businesses. They buy like consumers with a subscription-fatigue problem, on a phone, between shoots, comparing me against Spotify. I think $14.99 is the honest number for that buyer even if it's the wrong number for my spreadsheet.
Where I actually am
- Built: sponsorship pipeline, deliverables with proof/approval, invoicing, contracts + usage rights, affiliate CRM with automated link-health checks, analytics.
- Not built: the AI stuff, Gmail/Calendar (scaffolded, staged).
- Waitlist: 4
- Revenue: $0
- Launching properly in the next two weeks.
The question I'd genuinely like answered
For anyone who's built for a non-founder audience — creators, nurses, plumbers, teachers, anyone who doesn't live on this site:
How did you get your first 50 users without a maker audience to launch into?
Not "go where they are" — I know. I mean specifically: what did you actually post, where, and did it work? Because the honest answer for me right now looks like DMing 50 creators one at a time, and I'd love to hear I'm wrong.
About
I am building Reanroom to help creators focus more on creating and less time on admin tasks like filling spreadsheets.
