New Owner of RecordJoy
by joeszewskiHello everyone! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Joe, and I acquired RecordJoy from the previous owners (Ben and Michael) in April of 2022.

How did you end up taking the revenue from $600+ MRR to $9 MRR in 1 year?
How are you currently paying off the bank loan? Personal money?

Short story is that the previous owners were counting the AppSumo revenue as MRR. Which, isn't technically correct as it's LTD sales. In reality there was only about $100 MRR spread across 3 or 4 real customers. Those customers ended up dropping, so MRR essentially went to $0. I've since regained our "first" real customer paying $9 per month right now, and I'm working on other growth channels.
