Redline
AI-powered document intelligence for smarterbusinessdecision
I’m a solo Computer Engineering student from India building an AI startup from home.
I recently built Redline, a simple AI-powered document intelligence tool. Users can upload competitor documents, pricing sheets, proposals, contracts, and other PDFs, then ask questions and compare documents using AI.
I started building Redline because manually reading and comparing business documents can take a lot of time. My goal is to make that process faster by helping users find important information and differences through AI.
This is an early version, and I’m currently looking for honest feedback from founders, SaaS builders, and anyone who regularly works with business documents.
You can try it here:

I’d especially love to know:
• What would make this genuinely useful for your work? • What type of documents would you use it with? • What feature would you want me to build next?
I’m building this as a one-person startup and will improve it based on real user feedback.
About
I built Redline to reduce the time people spend manually reading and comparing complex documents. My goal is to use AI to turn scattered information into clear, actionable insights, starting with competitor and business

The interesting opportunity isn't asking AI questions about PDFs—it's reducing the time between receiving several business documents and making a confident decision. I'd keep validating whether customers value document comparison itself or the ability to reach conclusions they can trust without manually piecing everything together.
Thanks, this is really helpful feedback. I think you're right that document comparison may be only the feature, while the bigger value could be helping users reach a trusted conclusion faster.
If you were validating REDLINE, what specific business workflow or type of decision would you focus on first? For example, would you prioritize contract comparison, financial documents, compliance reviews, project proposals, or another use case?
Also, when you say “conclusions they can trust,” what would make the output trustworthy to you—citations back to the source documents, highlighted evidence, conflict detection, confidence levels, or something else?
I'm trying to make sure REDLINE solves a high-value decision-making problem rather than simply becoming another “chat with your PDFs” tool.
Appreciate the thoughtful questions.
Would be good to continue the conversation outside the thread.
What's the best email to reach you on?
Absolutely, I'd be happy to continue the conversation. I'm currently unable to post links here, but I'd be happy to continue the discussion through Indie Hackers messages if that's convenient.
Appreciate it, Hani.
I don't think Indie Hackers has a messaging feature. Could you share the best email to reach you on, and I'll continue the conversation there?
