Reece's stories

​​Streakoid, the social habit builder, failed and I’ve been working as a software engineer for the last year to save up again for my next project. But I’ve been craving something creative.

Instead of another app, I’ve started writing short stories. Stories are the only things I’ve made that have gotten a good reception. So I’m listening to my “customers”. I do not know how or if I’ll monetise these. But that’s ok.

I want to be writing again to improve at the craft, and make some cool things. I’m sure something good will come out of it.

I’ve become interested in Web3 so I made the story an NFT as well because why not? It was expensive and probably unnecessary. But it’s fun to dip my toes in the water.

Posted the story on my blog, mirror.xyz, medium and Substack. Don't know if that's bad practice. But I guess we'll see. I want to keep it on my own website so I have control of the email list.

I’m happy with the first story. It took a lot longer than expected, but I enjoyed the process. Tried to hire some editors on Upwork to get feedback to improve, but they didn’t help. They turned out to be expensive proofreaders. But I’ll keep searching for someone to give me feedback.
