Refereed
Document editor for research papers
We have opened up the Refereed editor for public registration and usage.
Prior to the launch, we have accumulated over 700 followers and 150 subscriptions on the waiting list. We have also conducted a number of private demo sessions. From now on we will study how the users are actually using Refereed and will try to make it gradually better.
It's the first time our post on Facebook with just a screenshot of the Refereed interface got so much attention - over 50000 organic views and 500 new followers. I am not sure if this qualifies for market fit but certainly feels good. We know we are doing an impactful product and really want to help the scientific community. Thanks a lot!

In September, we applied to Kiuas accelerator - the top startup accelerator in the Nordics. And we got accepted! The last six weeks went by very quickly with all the one-on-ones, lectures, and product sprints. Twice Refereed was selected in the top 3 startups of the program by the program participants themselves.

The idea behind Refereed is to build a publishing platform for researchers to solve all the many problems of academic publishing. It will support the collaborative writing of research papers in real-time, interactive peer review, and open access publishing in one click.
In order to have such an extensive product, we decided to start first with the most important block - the document editor for science. Our editor is gonna be like Google Docs but for science, meaning that it will support citations management, LaTeX rendering, dynamic links to figures, tables, and equations, and many other things specific to scientific literature.
