January 14, 2020 Posted Idea on IH

After listening to IH podcast (a few weeks ago) while cleaning stalls at my wife barn. I decided to sign up for IH and give it a shot.

1 - Posting on IH (maybe a little soon) before the MVP even started. but I wanted to get practice writing what the product was about.
2 - The product feedback from IH has been positive, and informative.
3 - Getting feedback from community on other challenges or hows has also been helpful . So post more is key takeaway!

Reached you @rosiesherry on twitter to make sure i was't crazy posting my ideas :). She assured me it was safe !

1 - reach out with specific questions. You never know what will happen.

2 - building connections and posting has been a very valuable way to get feedback and to help clarify my thought process on product.

January 3, 2020 Setup memberstack for sign ups

Watched the memberstack how to video and within a few clicks connected to web flow and able to sign up members.

1 - Memberstack just works, it really does. Neat product, saved us a lot of time
2 - Don't overthink the sign up, i spent a lot of time thinking about gate vs non gated. and Decided to just keep it simple after running a few experiments

December 17, 2019 Moved site to web flow production

Purchased domain from google domain , actually a bunch of domain names.

Connected web flow account to google domain, and within mins was able to see site.

1 - Connecting web flow to google domains was easy
2 - Picking a name is not easy, spent some time on it, probably too much time.

November 14, 2019 Finished initial design

Found a great remote design from web flow marketplace and within 2 weeks started and finished the design.

What I learned - that FIgma and web flow are powerful tools that accelerate the process.

Working with remote freelancers can be a challenge, but worth it. if you find the right person (good fit)

October 1, 2019 The idea

My son is a senior in HS, and wants to play basketball at next level (College). He has potential, but not a top recruit.

In order to get noticed you have to be a top recruit (no surprise), or get invited to camps, or be a social media unicorn.

We found tools online, but they are hard to use, outdated, not integrated, and expensive.

We decided to launch https://wwww.rekruoot to help everyone get recruited to play college sports -- socially.
