Rel8 AI

Turn loose contacts into relationships. Never lose touch

January 14, 2026 Hello Community!

My name is Abdel Filali and I'm building Rel8!

Here's the problem I'm solving:
I’d go to a conference, collect 50 business cards, take photos of interesting conversations, and promise myself I’d follow up with everyone.

Two weeks later? Cards in a drawer. Photos buried in my camera roll. Zero follow-ups sent.

Traditional CRMs felt like data entry jobs. I wanted something that worked the way I actually network. So I built Rel8.

What Rel8 does differently:

  • Scan & Forget: Point, shoot, and AI extracts the contact. No typing.

  • Event Mode: Captures contacts in context. It logs "Met Sarah at TechCrunch Disrupt," not just "Sarah."

  • Voice Capture: Talk to add notes. "Just met Marcus, interested in our API, follow up next quarter."

  • AI Enrichment: It pulls LinkedIn data and company info, then suggests how to follow up based on your voice notes.

  • HubSpot Sync: For when you eventually need to hand the relationship off to sales.

The best CRM is the one you actually use. For me, that meant removing friction at the capture moment, not building more dashboards.

The Stack (for the builders):

  • Frontend: React / Web (Single codebase)

  • Mobile Wrapper: Capacitor (iOS/Android)

  • Backend: AWS Amplify + Serverless

  • Intelligence: OpenAI (Voice agent + Enrichment) + Gemini

  • Coding Tool: Claude Code

Where I'm at: We are in just launching Beta, specifically focusing on the "event networker" persona before going broader.

The Ask: I’d love feedback from anyone who has struggled with the same "contacts graveyard" or "Follow-up inertia" problem. Please let me know if you'd like to try it out, the webapp and iOS (Testflight) are pretty decent right now.

Thank you!

If you're building something similar, Happy to answer questions on the React + Capacitor + Amplify stack.

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. What channels are you experimenting with to get early users?

Thank you, we're multi-channel across platforms, we're not doing a full blast since we're tweaking things here and there

That makes sense, fine-tuning before scaling is smart.

When teams are in that phase, Reddit can be useful for testing messaging and getting honest early feedback without going full blast. Would it be helpful if I shared a couple of Reddit approaches that work well for products like yours?

About

Every year, I attend conferences, networking events, and meetings. I meet lots of great people but always miss to follow-up with them. If I find the time and the courage to do it, I find myself not remembering anything.
