Relaxing Sleep Sounds

Growth has been slowing for the past few months, but the company is still growing a little, mostly on its own, as I have been dealing with life's challenges.

I am hoping to be able to dedicate more time to this and take it to the moon!

I hope to get monthly subscribers in areas other than white noise before too long. Stay tuned.

P.S. I decided to remove my revenue/profit numbers and will focus a little more in the future on what I have learned and on my customers instead of on numbers.

I submitted my 100th Alexa skill for certification today! I do not have quite that many still in production, but pretty close! The last few I created were more Sleep Sound skills, but I have also made a few games and am working on more significant projects soon!

We reached a new milestone with a few days left to go this month!

I appreciate all the support received from friends, family, the Voiceflow community, and the indie hackers community.

You have all been incredible, and it has been a great learning experience and great to grow together.

This weekend I created a web audio player for my sleep sounds. It is free to use, and I will not be monetizing it for at least the next few weeks. It is definitely still version 1, but I hope you all like it and will provide feedback!

March also was a great month for growth in my core business. We achieved 25% revenue growth over February and 15% growth in total users.

2021 is starting strong! January and February have had record numbers of free trials started.

Relaxing sleep sounds currently has about 650 users on a free trial and over 2500 paid subscribers!

We are looking to expand into new ways to provide a good experience for our customers by adding new sounds and features. It is great to start 2021 on a positive note! Here is to hoping it continues.

Relaxing sleep sounds crossed 1 million plays of our signature 5-hour sleep sounds (free users).

We are excited to have been able to provide this free service to thousands of people especially with how crazy this past year has been for a lot of people. We are excited to continue to provide this free service and continue to help people sleep well and relax with our ambient sounds.

Relaxing Sleep Sounds maintained a steady influx of new customers through November and December to finish the year strong!

We have over 2000 monthly subscribers now and about 550 users trying a free trial and will hopefully convert to paid customers in January!

Growth has been solid in the last few months, but I am working on ways to help the company grow more quickly and release a series of sleep music Alexa skills over the next several weeks!

It has taken a year, but one of my skills has crossed into triple digits with the number of ratings it has received!

Some platforms seem to be fairly easy to get reviews on, but from my experience, getting people to rate Alexa skills and write reviews is an uphill battle.

Thunderstorm sounds are the first to make it! I am hoping to see some of my other skills cross that threshold eventually, too!

I had over 100,000 plays of my audio files for the month of October! Most of these are 5-hour files with some being a little longer or shorter. It took 4 months to reach 100,000 plays, now I have that many in a single month! Growth has been pretty steady.

This is the first month to reach this milestone, 1 year after the company was started! I've got some great customers and I really appreciate their support!

A number of my Alexa skills have continued to acquire new paid customers! This is the first month with over 1500, and there are a couple of days left!

4 of my skills have had pretty solid growth, Relaxing Sleep Sounds, Ocean Sounds, Thunderstorm sounds, and help me sleep.

I am also about to release Jurassic Island Sounds, admittedly it is not the best to sleep to.. but the roaring T-Rex, raptors, and other dinosaurs make for an exciting night.
