Relinx
Simple, flexible IT Asset tracking
Two days ago I published an article on my blog about database design and data integrity (https://relinx.io/2020/09/14/old-good-database-design/) and shared it on Reddit, HackerNews, etc. This single blog drove about 17k views to the site in less than 2 days and still counting.
I always neglected the importance of a blog, but know I know for sure :)
Yesterdat I launched Relinx on Hacker news and got lots of traffic to the site and several positive feedback comments and emails!
But I made a mistake which I realized today 🤦🏽♂️. I should have launched after adding Roadmap to the product. This would make users see what are upcoming features, not only the present ones.
Anyway! I got 20 new signups, emailed them all one-by-one, and offered to be early adopters for lifetime free access (for up to 3 users). Three of them are replied already, so there're 4 early users including me (yes, I'm using Relinx to keep configuration data of Relinx :) )
Sincerely,
Elnur

When you find yourself thinking about any idea too much, probably it's the thing you should pursue. I always wanted to write a better data organizer to use as a Configuration Management Database or just IT Assets tracking. None of the tools I've explored gave me the flexibility I had in my mind. I settled to write such a tool many times and in many forms from C# desktop application to iOS mobile app, but the concept didn't tick. In my mind, I had something different but couldn't express it in the software.
And what is interesting, every time I was thinking of an idea for a side project this idea would pop up first of all others :) So after selling Symply last summer (By the way the new owner seems to abandoned it :(. Maybe one day I'll bring it back to life again) I started working on Relinx. At that time its internal name was URM - Universal Relations Manager :)
As many times before soon I got distracted and left it until May 2020 when I decided to launch it. In about 2 months I've finished bare-bones MVP and launched it at https://relinx.io. No landing page, no paid features, just enough for me at least to start using it.
So, here we go! I'd love to hear your feedback on the idea and the landing page
Thanks for the attention!

I am a very organized person by nature and at work I was always searching for a way to organize important information in a simple and flexible way. I've tried many tools but they didn't offer what I need...
