RelyCare
AI-powered SOAP notes and parent communication for SLPs
six weeks in. one clinic. one therapist seeing pediatric patients in Cape Town.
the assumption going in was that the hardest part would be the AI, getting SOAP notes to actually sound clinical, handling accents, keeping the output tight. that part worked faster than expected.
what I didn't expect was the activation problem.
the therapist liked the product. she just kept forgetting to use it. not because it was hard, because her current workflow, as broken as it is, has years of muscle memory behind it. switching tools mid session with a 5 year old in the room isn't something you do because the software is good. you do it when the pain is bad enough.
so I stopped trying to replace her workflow and started fitting into it. upload after the session, not during. shorter output. less decisions to make.
still figuring it out. but that's what pilots are for.

About
SLPs spend half their day writing notes and chasing parents for updates. I watched a clinic drown in paperwork and thought, this is the exact thing software should handle. So I built it
