Reminder Bot
It's time to stop forgetting
Post issues that have been proposed:
- The website is hard to understand why this is built
- It's a difficult registration process
- Pricing is too low
What has since changed?
Home page:
- Update the design to focus on showing that this app is for multiple reminders, and the benefits/opportunities there. A lot of people expect this application to
work like all the other once off reminder. This is not the niche I want to target. - You can now "fast track" the sign up by pre-selecting options within a basic form
Pricing page:
Whilst I don't thint that the previous pricing structure was too low, others did. I've now slightly adjusted my marketing on the issue to complete payments over a 3 month period.
I am now also describing the pricing structure explicitly and in a simple way
Product:
- You now require 2 or more reminder messages. This is my niche, along with the option to choose mulitple third party connections
- The add/edit reminder page has dramatically changed how to edit messages. It's much smaller and (hopefully) should be more intuitive.
- The sign up process is shorter via the interactive home page
Others:
- A new font face has been introduced for the website and the app.
It's always the smallest things that sometimes have the biggest impact when updating applications. Here's what happened:
- Day 1: Move the create a reminder page to before payment
- Day 3: Introduce trial sign ups
- Day 6: Remove the credit card form
- Day 7: Celebrations as the traffic is finally funnelling into the application
- Day 8: Realise that everyone using Google Hangouts Chat isn't receiving messages... It looks like we aren't sleeping tonight!
What can I say? Small successes always bring their own complications.

And we're live!
It's a small win as we don't have traffic, but the app has been migrated to the cloud and users now have the ability to sign up.
6 months has been a long time to chip away at this project but we're finally running.

Welcome to the family Reminder Bot!
Here's where it starts. My wife and I receive our first messages. Yes, they're incorrect as I'll find out in the next few days, but they have been sent! All new children in the family have teething problems when they start out.

About
Reminder Bot started as a way to assist my disabled wife with her medication. It's now grown to scale up to manage many people with many different needs.
