ReposLens

code architecture, architecture diagram, dependency analysis

April 15, 2026 I built ReposLens to visualize messy codebases before they break

I built ReposLens because I kept running into the same problem: as codebases grow, nobody really understands the architecture anymore.

Docs become outdated, dependencies get messy, and everything feels fine… until a circular dependency or hidden coupling breaks something in production.

I wanted a simple way to see the structure of a repository instead of guessing it.

So I built ReposLens a tool that helps visualize code architecture and dependencies in a clearer way, so developers can understand what’s actually going on in their systems.

Right now I’m still iterating on it, especially on how to make large codebases readable without overwhelming the user.

Curious what other devs think:

  • How do you currently understand large codebases?

  • Do you rely more on docs, diagrams, or intuition?

About

I built ReposLens to solve the chaos of growing codebases. As teams scale, architecture docs decay and the big picture disappears until a circular dependency breaks production.
