February 24, 2025 From Rejection to Reinvention: Why I Built ResumeAdapter

After COVID, the job market became a battlefield. Companies were flooded with thousands of applications, and like many others, I kept getting rejection after rejection. At first, I blamed myself. Maybe I'm just not good enough? Seeing job postings with 1,000+ applicants crushed my confidence. I tweaked my resume, wrote more cover letters, and applied everywhere, and ...still, nothing.

Then, I realized: I wasn’t even making it to a human recruiter. ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) filtered me out before anyone could read my application. I started manually adjusting my resume to match job descriptions—rewording skills, tweaking keywords, and structuring my experience differently. And suddenly, I started getting interviews. But this process took way too much time.

That’s why I built ResumeAdapter—to help job seekers beat ATS filters without spending hours tweaking their resumes. It scans your CV, compares it with job descriptions, and gives you clear, actionable insights to improve your chances. Because you’re not "bad"—your resume just isn’t making it past the first gate. Let’s fix that.

After hundreds of rejections, I thought, "I can't be that bad!" Turns out, ATS was filtering me out. I started manually tailoring my resume, time-consuming but eye-opening.
