I've watched mass amounts of educational YouTube videos, but I retain almost nothing. I'd finish a 2-hour tutorial feeling smart, then a week later I couldn't explain a single concept from it.

Passive watching isn't learning. But who has time to take notes, make flashcards, and review them consistently?

What I built

Retenio turns passive content consumption into active learning:

For YouTube videos:

• Watch a video → AI instantly generates summaries, quizzes, and flashcards

• Ask questions about the video and get answers with exact timestamps

• No manual work—just watch and learn

For anything else:

• Create manual study sets for any topic

• AI can generate additional questions and flashcards from your content

The learning system:

• Spaced repetition schedules reviews so you don't forget (Leitner box system)

• Feynman Technique mode: an AI tutor asks YOU to explain concepts back, then challenges your understanding

• Track your streaks, mastery, and progress over time

The idea is simple: don't just consume content, actually retain it.
