RetroTeam
The platform that teams use to conduct effective retros
After many months of toiling away, featured on product hunt and acquiring users to the site. I have finally crosses a nice milestone with a paying user . This is a whopping $2 a month but it's beginning to show that some folks find this tool useful enough to pay for their teams.
many thanks to this community as well for all the support!!!!
Thanks to product hunt, Indie hacker and some Agile Scrum communities we have been able to grow the app to over 800 users.
We are now seeing teams join from the USA, Canada, and Europe. The team admins are inviting up to 12 users to join the Retrospective.
As we grow we are keeping an eye on return users as most sprints are done every 2 weeks. So far this is very encouraging. Retention is key to finding product market fit.

It was a great day for RetroTeam. We got haunted by one of the members and there was an outpour of support for the community and we were able to make the top 16 list for product hunt.
With this feature we gained 50 new users and now we are at 400 users. We are now seeing teams of 5-10 join RetroTeam to create Retros.
RetroTeam also got featured in the Product Hunt NewsLetter!!!! Yipeee

The organic growth has been great and thanks to this community I have seen folks coming from Indie Hackers. I hope they are getting much value from it.
When a user joins and likes the app, he invites up to 5/6 of his fellow teammates. Hence that starts to create a snowball effect.
Engagement is going to be key in terms of how effective this app is for teams. I will be keeping a close watch on that.

Looking at google analytics we are averaging 2 users a day and have crossed to about 188 users. Thanks all for checking the site from Indie Hacker, LinkedIn has also been very helpful.
I plan to invest in Twitter and other social media to see if this brings in any more users.

Sent out emails and wrote a blog post. These did really well and got me my first 10 users.
LinkedIn is a good place to get users as they have very high intent especially with the content I had written.
I will be focusing on Twitter and see how I can grow my reach.

Build the app in NodeJs using Firebase. Invited a couple of other developer friends to sign up and give feedback.
That went well and they loved it.
The new remote world everyone was looking for a way to connect with their team and this was a good way to know what went well and what didn't go well

I have been on this journey to find the best way to conduct retrospective. I always wanted something simple and easy to use. Then the pandemic happened, every team found themselves distributed and remote.
I decided to start development of RetroTeam

awesome, what were your stripe fees?!
The fees came out to be .36 cents
thats not too bad, looking at your pricing page and what you offer, i would 3x the starter plan per user, but I guess you will probably do that eventually as you find product market fit.
