We want to spend less time figuring answering questions like, "So how does this help me?" Personalization lets you help people answer that question better. We're trying to make this more accessible to small businesses.

Launched new plans and pricing - and a free trial!

Over the last few months, we've talked with hundreds of customers and would-be customers who turned us down.

Here's what we learned:

  1. Our pricing sucked, especially for smaller sites
  2. Lack of a free trial meant that most people had to schedule a demo to figure out how RightMessage worked - since this is relatively new tech, most people had no idea what they'd be getting by buying an account

This wouldn't be an issue if we were primarily going after enterprise accounts. We want self-serve customers, and our old model was holding us back.

We'll see how it goes.

Launched RightBar

This is the first product we've launched that sits on top of the RightMessage platform.

Think of it as a smart sticky bar. It takes into account who is the visitor and where they are in your sales funnel (this happens by looking at data you keep about them in your email marketing app / CRM) - and then it'll show an offer that brings them to the next stage of the funnel.

Crossed 100 paying customers

The big 1-0-0. Felt really great, considering how much effort has gone into selling each and every new customer. (We were still working on our low-touch inbound funnel... almost all customers were sold individually.)

We launched!

Woo-hoo 👋

We had built up an email list of about 2,000 people, and launched annual plans that included full concierge support. Got a nice burst of revenue and new customers immediately out of the gate.
