August 31, 2026 Why we built Roasguard to automatically moderate ad comments

We kept seeing the same problem with Facebook ads: a campaign starts performing well, and then spam, scam links, competitor comments, and negative comments start piling up underneath the ads.

For advertisers spending real money on traffic, the comment section is part of the customer experience. But manually monitoring comments across multiple campaigns and pages is extremely time-consuming.

That's why we built Roasguard.

Roasguard uses AI and custom keyword rules to automatically identify and hide unwanted comments while keeping advertisers in control of their moderation rules.

We're building it specifically for media buyers and performance marketers who want to protect the quality of their ad comments without constantly monitoring them manually.

We're still improving the product and would love feedback from other founders, media buyers, and advertisers:

How are you currently handling unwanted comments on your ads?

The interesting part is whether advertisers see bad comments as a moderation nuisance or as something that actually hurts campaign performance.

Curious whether early users care more about saving the manual monitoring time, or about protecting conversion/social proof under the ads.
