A short while ago, a friend of mine encouraged me to experiment with content marketing. The ideas sounded really exciting. But, I was missing one thing. Some content!

I've now written my first article :D. The plan is to write some more before I start pushing the content. The site currently looks a little too empty right now :P.

I received my first $20k from a single investor.

I am building a hedge fund as a side project. I am currently not pursuing clients while I build confidence in the value I create.

I have some friends who have invested some money. To stay in touch with them, I created a newsletter and a basically empty website with my principles (http://www.robolyst.com).

One friend forwarded a newsletter to someone. That person read the newsletter and my principles and arranged a call to chat. I learned they really resonated with the principles, and after a 5 min chat, he sent me $20k.

I'm not ready to actively take investments from clients yet, but this is a huge vote of confidence.

P.S. I'm new to IH and thought it was about time I shared some progress!
