Rocket Dodgem
A casual and fun 'waste some time' game dodging missiles.
Finally happy enough to make this game public. Published to the Google and Apple app stores.
Interesting the traditionally slow Apple approved the app in only 24 hours. Google, who normally take hours ended up taking nearly 5 days!
Anyhow, both versions are now available to the public. Time to see what the world things of our new game.
We took the learnings of our first game Rocket Shockwave and poured them into how we might develop a new game.
We wanted to take advantage of the assets and code we had from the first game but try a different, casual, quick replay type of gameplay mechanism.
Github repository created, initial commit and away we went.

Congratulations on releasing your game to app stores! Launching a game is an exciting achievement. Here are a few key points to consider after releasing your game to app stores:
Marketing and Promotion: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness and drive downloads for your game. Utilize various marketing channels such as social media, websites, influencers, press releases, and app store optimization (ASO) techniques to maximize visibility and attract potential players.
User Support and Feedback: Provide a way for players to contact you for support or provide feedback on the game. Monitor user reviews and ratings on app stores and respond to them promptly. Address any issues or bugs reported by users, and consider incorporating player feedback to improve the game through regular updates.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring: Implement analytics tools within your game to track player behavior, engagement, and performance metrics. Analyze this data to gain insights into player preferences, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions for future updates or feature enhancements.
Community Engagement: Build an active community around your game by creating official social media accounts, a dedicated website or forum, and engaging with players. Encourage players to share their experiences, provide feedback, and promote your game within their networks. This community can help create a loyal player base and generate positive word-of-mouth.
Post-Launch Updates: Plan regular updates to your game to introduce new features, levels, content, or bug fixes. Keeping the game fresh and engaging for players through updates can encourage user retention and attract new players. Consider incorporating player suggestions and preferences into your update roadmap.
Monetization Strategies: If your game includes monetization elements, such as in-app purchases, ads, or subscriptions, monitor their performance and optimize them for maximum revenue generation without compromising the user experience. Continuously evaluate and refine your monetization strategy based on player behavior and feedback.
Platform-Specific Considerations: Take into account the specific requirements and guidelines of each app store where your game is available. Stay updated with any changes in their policies and ensure compliance. Regularly test your game on different devices and operating system versions to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Remember that the game industry is highly competitive, and success often requires ongoing efforts in marketing, user engagement, and continuous improvement. Stay connected with your player community, listen to their feedback, and be responsive to their needs. Best of luck with your game on the app stores!

Congratulations! Do you make any games for PC? I mostly spend time there, playing games like CS:GO that are extremely competitive. There's this website called https://wewatch.gg/ that I discovered recently that shows the latest tournaments and their broadcasts. No idea how I didn't know about it, but it's now my favorite gaming resource!
