Roku Channel

I guess I am an indie hacker, so I made a listing here, to share knowledge and get ideas :)
Till now I was working alone all the time.
Project continues and expenses are still about 5$ per month on hetzner.cloud + free aws tier , working on auto with 0 maintenance

Since all my infrastructure is ready and i have clients for all platforms that can be deployed, thought to sell this to a TV station to manage their online presence! Great idea, that worked. everything is managed through the plugin. all the operation took a few hours to build/recompile + waiting time for the apple store.
made my wordpress plugin to autoupdate using the github repo!

Better checking for offline sources and replacement with backups.
Created scripts that check in AWS lamvda and used athena.
Also created a plugin in wordpress to manage all the operation and also produced clients for android, androidtv, ios, appletv. unfortunately, they will not get approved as it breaches copyrights due to the logos used. will just leave it as it is.

Different apps for canada, the us and rest of the world, one paid at 2.99 to replace the donation messages. also a lite version to replace the free version with ad revenue sharing..
100 paid , not bad, pays for all my efforts in the previous years. always keeping the free version. Not sure how legal this is, all those are free sources, and all channels can also be seen in their homepages in the respective countries.

20.000 subscribers on the free versions? wtf?
I decided to split the versions into canadian , us, europe to segment the audiences if there was going to be some monetization..
Also made some experimental feeds for the new Direct Publisher platform and scripts that generate images on the fly so no channel stays with no image.
moved all existing images to azure cdn for faster.
Expenses till now : 5euro per month droplet in digital ocean + azure cdn through my developer subscription in azure.

I bought a Roku player and was amazed by the simplicity of the gui, and the easiness to deploy private channels. Also kudos to the guys that made the free porn channels.
I played around with brightscript a bit, and used the main tutorial, and there I had it, a player for my greek TV channels!
Made some fancy graphics and there you have it, a GreekTV channel for all, listed in all private places..
I also requested donations, and some actually sent money (less than 50$ a month overall)

I moved to Canada, and missed GreekTV for some reason.. So I decided to make a list of greek TV channels that are free online , and make this a playlist for me ready to watch on my VLC..
Those links where dying on a weekly basis.. so I decided to build scripts for checking then and collect all sources under one database.
Then I decided to create a php script that not only collects those videos sources, but then combines them and checks them for validity. then output a standard m3u file and built a website for everyone to benefit too
