Rook
The Fundraising Software for Missionaries
I launched my pre-beta. It wasn't pretty. It was useful. But only barely. I got it in the hands of users and immediately saw value from it. They were able to provide me with the most immediately problems to solve. When I launch my next product, I'll be racing toward this step.
I've decided to go for writing and targeted email for my primary marketing channel. I'll use that to reach my first set of users. After that, I'll keep the plan for 3 months before exploring additional marketing channels.
I hired my first month of writers this week. I'm hoping that I can put out an article/month to reach a healthy amount of newsletter subscribers that I can use to advertise to when I launch the product.

Spoke with several potential users and tried to do the "mom" test. Rather than selling my idea to them, I asked them questions around their existing workflows and painpoints, as well as current solutions they've tried and paid for.
Turns out that they gave some great pointers while also validating my current idea.

When I was a missionary, fundraising was my biggest fear. I had mountains of spreadsheets. Lost donor information. Never could remember to send gifts. Rook exists to solve my painpoints.
