Rotee
Home food ordering and delivery platform.
- Onboard 40 new chefs.
- Improve the food discover experience so that orders are distributed equally among chefs and every chef gets a chance to earn
From our primary metric:
- Making sure that customers are delivered food on time. 75% of the orders were delivered before time.
Operational challenges are plenty which need to be solved through automation and proper chef training. We are working on multiple solutions parallel to make sure that the delivery is made on time and quality of food is never compromised.
We hit $400 in revenue and now have a consistent amount of traffic in order to get the supply out.
- We started running social media ads last week and gave out discounts to people on their first order. They loved the food and then started referring their friends. We got 500+ customers by spending a less amount of money. We are now seeing customers return and place second orders.
- Good amount of our orders happened due to referrals from within the app.
- Our marketing campaign helps us get close to 100 new customers daily with a spend of less than $10
- Since our chefs have started to get orders, they are more active, they upload new dishes thereby increasing variety in the app and helping the customer with better options.
- On an average, an order gets rated 4 stars and above (out of 5), which helps us to retain customers and boost recommendations.

Well honestly, our primary metric has marginally improved but is slower than we expected. The past one week went by fixing bugs and other issues. We are positive that this week onwards, growth will be higher.
- We see a huge spike in the app being shared as soon as we introduced referrals.
- Also, chefs are now sharing their profiles and dishes with their friends owing to referrals.
------ sprint 2 ------
- We have started sending notifications right before lunch and dinner to users to let them know about the number of dishes and chefs near them.
- We also credited Rs. 25 in each users account to give them free delivery for the first order. Avg order cost is Rs. 120 and our profit on that is approx Rs. 25 and hence free delivery on the first order is justified.
- We are partnering with bloggers and influencers who will be verifying our chefs by placing orders with them and also leveraging their audience to get us more orders.

- We have been continuously speaking to our home chefs and getting their queries settled over email, call, whatsapp ,Instagram and Facebook.
- We also send regular updates over email and notifications to keep them engaged.
- We have also started being more active on social media and posting dishes from our chefs to give them validation and gratification.
- We recently launched Meal Plans which is a 3-day, weekly or monthly meal subscription model. This requires home chefs to have a certain number of dishes which has in-turn increased the variety of dishes on the Rotee.

Context - We have launched for home chefs in Bangalore, India and will be launching for taking orders from customers in the next 2 weeks.
Continuous conversation with both users - Home chefs and Customers has been a key factor.
Our primary metric currently is getting a variety of dishes added by multiple home chefs on to the platform across different locations in Bengaluru, India. So far 152 chefs have added 501 dishes in the last 19 days. We have been growing 39.5% wow in the number of dishes and 20% wow in the number of chefs ( who have added dishes ). We have registered 585 chefs in Bengaluru since 4th July.
A major part of this growth is because we ran Instagram ads for 15 days spending close to 115$ at 0.077$ per lead acquisition.
3 .Sending over app notifications, sms and emails ( which land in the inbox - extremely crucial ) prompting the chefs to add more dishes and complete their registration.
For the customer, we will be rolling out a campaign to give out early access discount coupons. We will be utilizing influencers, Facebook groups, whatsapp groups etc.
