RoutineHub
A community for finding and sharing iOS Shortcuts
I am excited to introduce RoutineHub's new owner, Chris Mendez. Chris runs Skyground Media, a business strategy firm, and he also works at WhatsApp as a Senior Product Manager leading the video and voice calling products. I believe he has the skills and experience to move RoutineHub forward in its mission to grow a community around Apple product automation.
I'm proud of what I've built here. I'm proud of the community for helping shape the site, its features and the community itself. We've managed to create and maintain a safe environment for people to grow their skills and share their work.
When I look at some of the numbers, they absolutely blow my mind:
-
The most popular shortcut on RoutineHub has over 350 thousand downloads
-
Each September (when Apple releases their newest iOS version), RoutineHub receives over 1.2 million page views from over 530 thousand visitors.
-
Overall, this site has received 20.8 million page views from 8.5 million visitors.
RoutineHub truly is the #1 community for shortcuts, and is regularly used as a source in publications like Lifehacker and MacRumors. I never expected any of this when I started writing the code for this in September of 2018.
I am well aware that this site would not exist if it weren't for the community. I've met some pretty amazing individuals who have created some really cool shortcuts. Thank you for being a part of this.
I came up with the idea the day that iOS 12 was released, and within a week launched the MVP of RoutineHub.
Within the subsequent months, I added several new features and grew the community to around 5k unique users and around 17k visits per day.

I think Apple did a great job with Shortcuts, but neglected one key component. A place to find, share and version-control them.
