Rubberduck is launching on Product Hunt today:
https://www.producthunt.com/posts/rubberduck-2
I would love it if you could check it out and leave a review. Your feedback will help continue to improve and grow Rubberduck.
Thanks for your support!
I'm building Rubberduck for Visual Studio Code in the open. You can find the repository on Github:
https://github.com/rubberduck-ai/rubberduck-vscode
The extension is available in the Visual Studio Code marketplace:
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Rubberduck.rubberduck-vscode
You can currently chat with the AI about your code, get explanations, and generate unit tests.
I'm building the extension in public: https://twitter.com/lgrammel/status/1618546466678804481
Explain code, diagnose problems, or ask questions. Rubberduck is a chat assistant inside your IDE that knows your codebase.
Here are a few ways how Rubberduck takes ChatGPT-like interfaces to the next level:
- . IDE integration
Rubberduck is available as a VS Code extension: No more context switching to Chrome. Rubberduck knows about e.g. your current selection. You can refer to your selected code and easily create, for example, tests.
- Repository knowledge
Rubberduck knows about the content of your Git repository. You can e.g. ask Rubberduck about file locations. Files are linked from the answers so that you can open them with a single click.
- Curated knowledge sources
Rubberduck can provide links to knowledge sources such as MDN so that you can use them to learn more and verify the answers if you are skeptical.
- Dedicated actions
Rubberduck provides actions such as 'Diagnose errors', which are optimized for everyday tasks. You can then iterate on the task in the usual chat interface.
Rubberduck is in closed alpha right now.
