Hi Travis. Congratulations on your launch. I am intrigued so have had a look around at your website and the post on Product Hunt. I think I have understood what synopsis does well but I am struggling to understand why I would need to do this? If I have a need would it be more obvious to me? Perhaps I am the problem! Could you elaborate on the value of this product and to whom it has value? Thank you.

I agree that we really need to improve our core messaging for this type of stuff.
The target users are developers who want to use our API to scrape websites or provide summary-type content across the web.

Hi. Cool idea. I'm probably not the target user. But it would be cool to test out the service on your website with an URL that I could choose without setting up a REST request .

Great feedback & I completely agree. We're working on a general-purpose interactive demo for these types of SaaS products built on top of Saasify that will allow potential users to do exactly that.

Yeah, it provides very similar functionality to the algorithm that powered Summly.
I can only say this with confidence because a previous startup of mine was acquired around the same time that Summly was acquired by Yahoo, and I know some of those guys.
