July 2021 Launched on ProductHunt

With the completion of the first course on sailscasts.com, I launched Sailscasts on ProductHunt and looking forward to adding more courses onto the platform.

I hope with the launch on ProductHunt to get more eye balls on Sailscasts and gain the attention of developers seeking to build on Node.js

July 30, 2021 Completed the very first course on Sailscasts

Phew! It took grinding for 4 months but I'm super excited that I've completed the very first course on Sailscasts - Getting Started with Sails. Though this is a beginner level course, I put in a lot of work to make sure anyone that takes the course gets to understand Sails enough(I hope) to get started building out something with it.

Super glad and like the saying that the first one is always the hardest, this one really was but I pushed through and looking forward to the next one!

Exactly 6 months ago I announced I will be creating a platform to teach Sails. Today I made good on that word by launching the Sailscasts platform. It was an interesting and challenging journey(it still is). Now onto completing the very first course. And of course bug πŸ› fixes ☺️

September 21, 2020 Launched Sailscasts community

A newbie to Sail.js asked if I could great a community to help in learning Sails.js. A place where he can ask questions. So I created a Discord server for just that.

In there, expert Sails.js developers could answer questions and newbie to Sails.js could ask questions. We grow faster when we have a community of like minded peers. Sailscasts community is set to supplement as a go-to place to get answers to Sails.js questions.

September 7, 2020 Came up with the Sailscasts idea

I was looking at the relevance of Laracasts in the PHP ecosystem and thought it how much better the Node.js ecosystem will be if we have something similar. Also have interacted with newbies to Sails and how frustrated they get when they don't have a platform to learn from. Hence the idea.
