Salarybot
A Slack bot that treats every day like payday.
We launched on Product Hunt! It was the busiest day on the site (Tuesday), so we received just a small amount of upvotes and comments. However, the feedback was good and our marketing site received some traffic, so it was worthwhile.
We built our marketing site using Carrd, which made it easy to crank out a single page explanation of the app. All buttons link out to the the Slack workspace connection page to make it super easy to connect your Slack account to the bot. We also set up a Buy Me A Coffee page to see if there is any interest in supporting the project.
We built the Salarybot MVP and shared it with a few friends to make sure the design and logic were working properly.
The biggest challenge was the math involved: ensuring that the salary numbers displayed accurately reflecting the user's salary. We also wanted to make sure that our random surprise messages were firing correctly.
We created Salarybot after riding the GME rollercoaster and realizing that our trivial investments were nothing compared to our day job earnings. So, we made a Slackbot that brings more attention to your salary so you can track it and truly appreciate it.

Hello Nick. I just tested it and found it amazing! It is really inspiring and comforting to see the "real-time salary". Feedback on two options that I would really use:
The option to select the currency :( think global!
The option to deduct the tax collected by the government
Here in Brazil, there are some modalities for formal work, the most common one we call "CLT". In this modality, you have a different tax discount depending on the amount of the salary. I'll leave it as a reference below, but the ideal would be for the user to be able to put the percentage they want.
For wages up to R$ 1,903.98, the worker is exempt from the tax;
From R$1.903,99 to R$ 2.826,65, the rate is 7.5%;
From R$2.826,66 to R$ 3.751,05, the rate is 15%;
From R$3.751,06 to R$ 4.664,68, the rate is 22.5%;
Above R$4.664,68, the rate is 27%.
Currency - great idea! It should be easy to add a dropdown in the settings that lets you select currency.
Deduct tax - we've gotten this feedback a lot. This one is tricky because of all the nuances in each state/country. Would it be helpful to let users simply put in a % that should be removed? In other words, an estimate of tax deduction.
