The Backstory: I failed 3 times. I spent months building complex tools that made exactly $0. My mistake? Trying to invent a new market as a solo dev.
The Pivot: A month ago, I saw a successful mock interview tool for visas. I didn't try to reinvent it. I cloned the logic and localized it for students in Ethiopia (OrbitPrep). I pitched one agency, and they paid me $100 on the spot for a month's access.
That was the "lightbulb" moment: Don't invent. Improve and clone.
The Factory: Introducing SassCloner. I built SassCloner.dev to automate this entire "reverse engineering" workflow. It’s an industrial extraction engine that takes a competitor's URL and hands you a blueprint for a better V2.
How it works (The 5-Step Extraction):
01. Source: Find a winner on TrustMrr or Starter Story.
02. Extract: Paste the URL. SassCloner crawls the live web (Reddit, G2, X, and Quora) to find every negative review and "I wish it did this" comment.
03. Architect: It generates a well-organized PRD document and a Kanban board optimized for your tech stack (works well for mobile and web apps).
04. Drop: The docs are IDE-ready. Drop them into your IDE of choice and start building.
05. Hijack (Coming Soon): A lead gen engine that tracks 25+ social platforms for mentions of the competitor and drafts the perfect "Try my version instead" DM.
The result: I went from 3 months of "aimless building" to having a full product map in 5 minutes.
