December 24, 2025 Launching SaveMySalary: simple expense tracking

👋 Hey Indie Hackers,

I’ve just launched SaveMySalary, a small side project that turned into a real product.

I built it because I personally struggled to track where my salary was going every month. I used spreadsheets for years, but they were easy to forget and hard to maintain. Most finance apps I tried felt too complex or required access to banks, SMS, or personal data, which I wasn’t comfortable with.

SaveMySalary is a simple, completely free app for salaried people who want to manually track income and daily expenses. No bank syncing, no message access, no investment tracking—just a clean way to understand spending and build better money habits.

I’m sharing this here to get honest feedback from fellow builders:

  • Is this useful?

  • What feels missing?

  • What would make it better for you?

Happy to answer any questions and would really appreciate your thoughts 🙏

About

I built SaveMySalary because I wanted a simple way to track salary and expenses without giving apps access to my bank, SMS, or personal data. It’s made for people who want clarity and control, not complexity.
