Save Serve
Save time, save server
Hello there! Ever find yourself typing the same SSH commands over and over? Opening terminals, remembering IP addresses, usernames, and passwords. Oh, what a drag.
I built Save Serve to solve this exact problem. It's a Visual Studio Code extension that lets you save all your server details and connect to them with just one click - without ever leaving your editor.
Here's what Save Serve can do for you:
– Store server credentials securely using your system's built-in password manager;
– Connect instantly with a single click;
– Support both password and SSH key authentication;
– Organize servers into custom groups for better
– Save precious development time with quick access.
The best part? No more context switching between your terminal and editor. Just click on a server in the sidebar and boom ≠ you're connected.
Security is a top priority. All your server data is encrypted using your OS's secure storage. Keychain on Mac, Credential Manager on Windows, and libsecret on Linux.
If you're juggling multiple servers and tired of typing the same SSH commands, give Save Serve a try. It's free, open source, and might just make your development workflow a bit smoother.
Download it from the VS Code marketplace by searching for "Save Serve" or typing "ext install save-serve" in the quick open menu.
About
Doing a small product for developers as it solves my problem myself. I work in two web studios and I often need to switch between many customer servers, it's hard to remember accesses to them.
