I kept looking for distribution channels with a lot of eyeballs - product hunt, forums, newsletters, etc.
But in the beginning anyway, since the product/service isn't well known sometimes people need to be handheld.
I've found a ton of success going to different product sites (my product, Scoops, helps startups conduct consumer research to validate ideas & gain traction) and leaving them feedback in their support channels.
Then when they respond I offer more feedback via my service, Scoops! This has actually been surprisingly effective. Quality over quantity I suppose. Sometimes it's not about how many eyeballs you can get but rather the quality of the eyeballs that matters (for conversion anyway).
