Screen Size Comparison

Visual TV and monitor size comparison tool

September 2, 2026 I built a visual screen size comparison tool because diagonal inches are misleading

I kept seeing the same questions when people were choosing a new display:

Should I buy a 24-inch or 27-inch monitor?

How much larger is a 65-inch TV than a 55-inch TV?

Is a 34-inch ultrawide actually bigger than a 32-inch 16:9 screen?

The usual specifications only show the diagonal measurement, which makes the real difference in width, height, and usable area difficult to picture.

So I built Screen Size Comparison.

You can enter two screen sizes and aspect ratios, then compare them side by side or as an overlay. The tool calculates their physical width, height, area, pixel density, and percentage differences. Comparisons can also be shared through the URL.

I later added tools for TV viewing distance, screen dimensions, PPI, resolution, and aspect-ratio comparisons. The site is free, requires no account, and currently supports eight languages.

The most difficult part was not the geometry. It was making the visual comparison remain accurate and understandable across different screen sizes and devices.

I would appreciate honest feedback:

1. Is the comparison result immediately understandable?

2. Do you prefer the overlay or side-by-side view?

3. What screen comparison or calculation is still missing?
