🚀Launched public beta
by Oivvio PoliteI announced a public beta in a number of relevant Facebook groups, attaching a short description, a screen cast and a TestFlight link.
There's probably 20K people in those groups combined but I only got 2 people to actually install the beta via TestFlight.
So the main take away is that people are not that curious about trying out random beta versions of apps that happen to show up in their Facebook-feed. Who would have guessed? 😀

Hey Oivvio,
I clicked the link but no information is provided about your product. I then went through your profile and found Season, but when I clicked the URL, I get a security warning (Google Chrome). Once I proceed past the security warning, the website redirects to Traggle, and this throws up another security warning. After proceeding past this one, I receive an error 502.
My 0.02c - you need to make the download process frictionless AND provide company information in a trustworthy way. If your post had some details on your product + a web link to find out more, I might have gone ahead and installed it. There isn't anything compelling about downloading something with no knowledge of what it is, so try to be compelling!

Ah, well I guess you clicked the Season-link since it's displayed here on Indiehackers, but I posted the original request for beta testers on FB together with a two paragraph description, a 4 minute screen cast and a TestFlight-link. So these people didn't have to option to stumble on to my my non-existing landing page.
But yes, point taken, I should definitely get my landing page up. It's been on my to do-list for a while.
