Shipped 1.2: Seisin is now on Mac and Linux, alongside Windows
by abdulsheibaniSeisin is a free desktop app for tracking a job search: applications, interviews, offers and resumes in one place, turned into analytics automatically. I’ve been building it solo, and 1.2 just shipped.
The headline this time is platform coverage: it’s now on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Linux (AppImage or .deb), not just Windows. Alongside that: a report that opens when you accept an offer, summarising what actually worked across the search, a weekly goals checklist, and resumes now show which applications they were sent with.
Traction so far has been almost entirely unmarketed. This release is really the first time I’m testing distribution properly rather than just building, so if anyone here has shipped a free desktop tool (no accounts, no web app) I’d be glad to hear what actually worked for you.
Everything is local, a SQLite file on your machine, no account needed. Installation instructions for each platform are on the site.
Would appreciate any feedback, especially on whether the analytics angle (not just storing your applications, but showing you what’s working) actually lands as a reason to switch from a spreadsheet.

The analytics angle seems like the real product test. Have users who tried Seisin actually changed how they manage their search because of the insights, or are they mostly using it as a nicer application tracker?
