Hi @emekaonu, thanks for the comment...

The previous owner posted on IH that he wanted to sell the site so he could focus on other things. I reached out to him through email and asked for more details on technical elements, on-going costs, traffic, users, etc. He followed up quickly and we just emailed back and forth to sort things out.

We agreed on his initial amount $1,250 for all assets related the site. I paid him through PayPal I think, I think I had received all the assets but not the domain prior to payment.

He was super nice and set everything up for me on a new server and configured everything so that I didn't have to try to figure it out on my own (especially since it's writing and hosted on a technology that I'm not well versed in).

After I paid, he transferred the domain to me and overall it was pretty smooth process. There is one issue still where if I use a DNS provider in the United States the site stops working, still trying to figure out why.

Since then I have been growing traffic, followers and adding basic features. Now I just need to make some money from it :)

    Hope that helps?

Mind sharing what went into the acquisition and how much it cost?
