Send Encrypt
Safely encrypt and share sensitive information
I often send sensitive data over the web through various channels to colleagues, clients or friends. Usually over mail or a slack message and most cases it's just ol' plain text that everyone can read. I wanted a safer way to share this information in an effortless manner and that's how I built Send Encrypt. Send Encrypt encrypts your text message on the client-side and gives you a share link that can only be used once with a configurable time-lock. Everything happens in the browser, and the only piece of information we store on the server is a secret that can be used to unlock your message. That secret will auto-delete itself after your time-lock has passed which in turn makes your share link unusable. So no more sending api keys, account credentials etc. in plain text, start using Send Encrypt :-).
It's a labor of love and it was great way to also learn new tools and frameworks while I'm at it. I hope you enjoy using it and I'd love to hear if you have any improvements, comments or questions.
About
I often share sensitive credentials through slack, but rather going through all kinds of hoops to make sure the key isn't logged anywhere (e.g. someone's inbox). I created this tool to safely share this info.
