September 14, 2021 New LTD campaign

So, it's been a while since our last (and first) LTD campaign. It was indeed a relatively short campaign, as it had a duration of about just a month and a half only.

We had a great experience running that campaign on Dealify. However, this time we want to experiment and run the new LTD campaign on our own.

Users will get unlimited access to the platform for a one-time payment while saving hundreds of dollars in the process. The platform has been receiving updates every single month. We're close to implementing the most significant features to Senseily.

This campaign aims to get enough cash to hire more people and speed up the development of Senseily. We're aiming to have a completed platform before the end of 2021.

May 12, 2021 Dealify Campaign

After a few days of running the Kickstarted campaign, we decided to cancel it. We believed it was not the best place to get funding for this product as the most funded projects are books, board games or gadgets.

That is why we decided to launch an LTD campaign on Dealify. As of today, many users have joined the platform. We are listening to every piece of feedback we receive from them, and we are working to make sure they get a product they need and love.

Senseily is a very young project, and we are a small team working on it. More than the funding itself, with this Dealify campaign, we are looking for feedback, ideas, feature requests and product validation.

We believe this validation could be helpful to get further funding from other sources in the future.

April 6, 2021 Kickstarter

After four more months of work, we have been able to finish most of the remaining features. So, today we are officially launching the platform.

Today, we have launched a Kickstarter campaign aiming to go full-time on the platform. This campaign will have a duration of 30 days, and the funds gathered will be destined to the following:

  • Create ad and marketing campaigns to lead traffic to the website.
  • Work full-time on the platform for at least three months.

We will have exclusive deals and merch for our early bird adopters on Kickstarter. Additionally, we have unlocked a limited-edition unlimited lifetime deal for just 25 people.

@gerardpons can i ask you how or where or who created a video for Kickstarter campaign and how much it cost?

Hi, @kinder. The video was created by @ricki_io with Biteable, and it cost $29 (monthly plus plan).

December 16, 2020 MVP

After two months of work, the minimum viable product is ready.

I still feel there are too many key features to be developed before a proper launch, but I know that If I wait more this project would join other mates at the side-projects graveyard.

I've been working on side hustles for some years but never achieved to launch anything because the PERFECT product was never done yet. This time I'm going to change that and just ship it.

Today the MVP is ready and published.

Landing page looks really nice, congrats! I can sympathise with not wanting to launch until the product is ready.

I took the jump and just launched my product, even though there are at least 6-7 features I want before I think it's ready to be used. It's always good to get an early user base - even if they don't think your product is mature enough, you can always bring them back down the line once you add more features.

    Good luck man!

Congrats! The website looks pretty good.

I wonder, though, if you have a plan for to how compete with hordes of players in this niche. AFAIK it's overcrowded.

    Thanks!

      Yep. That's true.

Since this is the MVP stage, the development started with generic features that everyone has.
But with the following weeks, we will try to focus on features to grow the audience and generate more revenue through upsells, 1-on-1 lessons, live sessions etc.
Also try to provide a high level of customization, using the school branding, custom payment screens...

Also, we believe that the online learning market is expanding every year and there's room for another player if we do things right.

      Thanks!

Yep. Probably the biggest expense until now, but saved a huge amount of time!

October 17, 2020 The first commit

The next day I was reading about Laravel Jetstream and Livewire and I thought it was a good opportunity to give it a try.

I liked the functionality it came prepacked with and I decided to stick with it.

So this day I wrote the "Initial commit" at 22:15.

October 16, 2020 Where it started

I was taking a long break from work for personal reasons and I decided to write an online course to help my brother learn how to code.

Since this was going to involve a good amount of time and resources, I decided to make it a bit more professional in order to sell the course to other people as well.

For that reason, I made a quick brand and I started searching for online services that could help me host the course and grow an inexistent audience, without having to build my site from scratch, implement payment gateways, etc.

I found solutions like Teachable but some things didn't look great and the price tag was too expensive. As a result, and like any other maker would have done, I said: "Let's build it lol".

About

We couldn't find the right service to easily sell high-quality online courses, 1-on-1 lessons, and webinars, under our own brand and having at the same time tools to grow the audiences and revenue.
